Position Overview

The Architecture Project Manager – K-12 leads the planning, design, and delivery of educational facility projects in the Lawrenceville area. This role is responsible for managing multiple school projects from initial concept through construction completion, ensuring that all architectural designs meet the functional and aesthetic needs of the district while staying within scope and budget.

The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between school district clients, internal design teams, and engineering consultants. This position requires a deep understanding of educational facility standards and the ability to navigate the complexities of managing multi-disciplinary teams to create impactful learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Manage K-12 architecture projects from programming and schematic design through construction documents and administration.

  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for school district clients, administrators, and stakeholders; manage all project meetings and presentations.

  • Team Coordination: Lead internal design teams and coordinate with external engineering consultants including MEP, structural, civil, and landscape .

  • Project Controls: Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and reporting to internal leadership.

  • Quality Assurance: Review drawings and specifications for quality control, local code compliance, ADA requirements , and educational facility standards.

  • Construction Support: Oversee construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and contractor coordination.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

  • 5+ years of architectural experience.

  • 3–5 years of specific experience in project management .

  • Demonstrated experience managing K-12 educational facility projects.

  • Strong knowledge of building codes , ADA requirements, and educational facility guidelines.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional licensure (Registered Architect).

  • Experience working with school districts and public sector procurement.

  • Knowledge of various project delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and Design-Build .

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project .

  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
