Your day powering a modern plant

From the first energization of the shift to the last system check, you’ll be the go-to expert for installing, repairing, and optimizing electrical systems across industrial machinery, facility equipment, and building infrastructure. You’ll chase down tricky faults, tune advanced controls, and keep production humming.

What you'll take on

  • Diagnose malfunctioning machinery; validate findings and corrective actions with mechanics, peers, and supervisors.
  • Apply NEC knowledge to ensure the plant remains aligned with all electrical safety protocols.
  • Leverage experience with complex manufacturing operations (preferred) to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Build and install 24–480V control panels from electrical prints, from layout to termination.
  • Work with Digital I/O and Analog I/O; support industrial networking, including Ethernet and Fiber (preferred).
  • Partner with teammates of varied experience levels, sharing know-how and mentoring as needed.
  • Develop productive relationships with maintenance colleagues, outside contractors, and vendors.
  • Troubleshoot/maintain servo systems, including servos, servo amplifiers, and servo controllers.
  • Proactively hunt down and correct electrical component and system issues across the facility and grounds.
  • Bend and install a variety of conduit types; size wire and conduit correctly; install/terminate conductors per distance and FLA.
  • Work confidently with 24V–480V power distribution.
  • Install, maintain, and repair low- and high-voltage facility, grounds, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to guide troubleshooting and installations.
  • Diagnose electric motors, motor controls, and device control issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair sensors and solid-state devices.
  • Identify and order parts/materials using manufacturer manuals and prints.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally; document work as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
  • Inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis

Skills and abilities

Language: Read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports/correspondence. Speak effectively to groups of employees or customers.

Mathematics: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning: Tackle practical problems with a variety of concrete variables where standardization may be limited; interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.

Physical demands

Expect frequent standing, walking, reaching, and fine manipulation; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and talking/hearing. Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs and occasionally more than 100 lbs. Vision must include the ability to adjust focus.
