The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a planner responsible for cradle to grave supply chain management and support to worldwide customers for an assigned complex/critical group of contract, inter-service, organic and dual repaired items and sub-components. Accomplished by performing independent functions necessary by completing the planning, execution and distribution of assigned items. Serves as project lead/manager, conducting organizational and process related studies and analysis of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation and efficiency, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, and resource allocation. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. Mission Statement - Provides supply chain risk management capabilities and support, develops and sustains responsive and resilient supply chain strategies, serves as focal point for Planning for Defense Logistics Agency Managed Consumables (PDMC) and executes strategic readiness programs and logistics standardization processes to improve material availability across the Air Force. Also serves as the 448 SCMW Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) focal point providing program oversight and single entry for all CBM+ Stakeholders to the Wing. Requirements: 1. Must be a U.S. Citizen. 2. Obtain & maintain a Security clearance (if applicable). 3. No PCS expenses will be paid. 4. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station approximately 5 days per year. 5. May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. 5. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
