Part-Time Payroll Assistant

We are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team with training beginning in December, to ensure a smooth transition before the new year. The Part-Time Payroll Assistant is responsible for processing payroll for 7 cities through the Paylocity Payroll System. This includes but not limited to: Auditing time cards for accuracy, reviewing and processing of new hire paperwork, resolving payroll discrepancies, and management of I-9 and payroll records.

This position will require a Monday, Tuesday, and Friday work schedule of up to 28 hours per week with some flexibility. 

Responsibilities

• Process all payroll cycles for 7 cities
• Enter new hire information into Paylocity Payroll System
• Maintain employee records and files
• Reconcile all payroll and benefits schedules
• Resolving pay discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for privacy of employee records.
• Perform monthly journal entries for payroll
• Handle new applicant paperwork
• Communicate with management and staff.

Qualifications:

• HR/Payroll experience required
• Knowledge of Paylocity Payroll System (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• prompt and courteous demeanor
• Detail orientated
• Self-starter that requires minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and 10 key by touch
• High School Education or equivalent with payroll experience
