Logistics Operations Coordinator

Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Operations Coordinator to manage carrier onboarding, insurance renewals, and compliance updates. This role involves significant data entry and interaction with various team levels. The position is currently focused on automating these functions and integrating systems, offering a great opportunity for someone interested in technology and process improvement. - Carrier Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for carriers, ensuring all required documents and insurance are submitted and verified. Reject and return incomplete submissions. - Insurance Renewals: Handle insurance renewals by updating policy numbers and expiration dates based on certifications received from the field. - Data Entry: Perform extensive data entry tasks, updating fields within the Transportation Management System (TMS) and ensuring accuracy. - Automation and Integration: Participate in the automation of onboarding processes and the integration between the Management Information System (MIS) and the internal TMS. Depending on interest and skill level, engage in integration testing and technical tasks. - Compliance Reporting: Send weekly compliance details to presidents and fleet managers, ensuring all carriers meet required standards. - Utilization Reporting: Generate and streamline weekly utilization reports, providing clear and actionable insights. - Process Improvement: Identify root causes of issues and implement solutions to improve downstream impacts. - Interaction: Communicate effectively with various team levels, including shared services for financial tasks and other departments involved in the onboarding process.
