Per Diem School-Based Paraprofessional La Fayette, GA

This role is designed for compassionate and dedicated professionals focused on promoting academic, behavioral, and social growth in students through individualized support. Working within a school environment, you will play a vital part in helping students succeed by providing one-on-one and small group assistance under the guidance of teachers and specialists.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized academic, behavioral, and social support for students in 1:1 or small group settings
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Compliance with TB testing as per district regulations
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), CPI, or PMT is a plus
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative team player
