Pay Rate: Local: $1,950/week | Travel: $2,411/week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assess patients’ nutritional needs, develop individualized diet plans, and provide education on nutrition and food–drug interactions to support patient health and recovery.

The Registered Dietitian will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure patients receive nutrition care tailored to their medical conditions and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients for food and medication interactions and document findings.

• Provide nutrition education to patients and families regarding diet plans and dietary restrictions.

• Conduct nutrition screenings and assessments based on patient care level and medical condition.

• Determine nutritional needs and develop appropriate care plans.

• Interview patients and families to gather information on dietary habits, preferences, and medical history.

• Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data from medical records to guide nutrition care.

• Document nutrition education, diet instructions, and patient understanding of dietary recommendations.

• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to implement diet modifications as needed.

• Modify patient meal plans and menus based on individual dietary requirements.

• Provide follow-up assessments to ensure nutrition goals and treatment plans are effective.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Foods, or Nutrition from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in clinical nutrition or healthcare settings.

• Master’s Degree in Dietetics or a Nutrition-related field.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Acute Care Facilities: Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (Primary Source Verification required).

• Post-Acute / Long-Term Care Facilities: New York State Certification issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Dietitian-Nutritionist.
