Fractional Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Fractional Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Asheville, NC. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in financial management and a focus on optimizing cash flow, overseeing capital resources, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to guide organizations through critical financial operations and processes and boasts an extensive career in Food and Beverage or the Hospitality industry. Responsibilities: - Oversee cash flow management to ensure the organization maintains a healthy financial position. - Develop and implement strategies for effective capital management and resource allocation. - Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. - Manage and optimize financial systems to support the organization's operational goals. - Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present findings to key stakeholders. - Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and forecasting. - Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. - Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. - Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard organizational assets. - Monitor and evaluate financial performance to support data-driven decision-making. Requirements - Extensive experience in cash flow analysis and financial planning. - Experience in Hospitality or Food and Beverage is a plus. - Strong expertise in capital management and resource allocation. - Proven track record in managing month-end close processes and financial reporting. - Familiarity with financial systems and their role in operational efficiency. - In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. - Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. - Effective communication and leadership abilities to guide teams and influence stakeholders. - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
