Head of Logistics

SUMMARY As the Head of the Logistics Department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our company's logistics operations for the Ingot, Cell, Wafer, and Module departments. You will lead a team to ensure the efficient and timely transportation, storage, and distribution of goods. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be critical in optimizing processes, reducing costs, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the logistics department to support company objectives and growth initiatives. 2. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Transportation and Warehousing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Lead the Warehousing Team for all departments in the production process. 3. Operations Management: Oversee all logistics operations such as transportation both domestically and internationally using truck, rail, sea, and air modes to factory arrival. The individual will also oversee the bidding and monitoring of LSP for warehousing, inventory management, and distribution to ensure seamless execution and adherence to quality and safety standards. 4. Cost Management: Identify opportunities to optimize costs, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability across the logistics function through effective resource allocation and process improvements. 5. Supplier and Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, 3PL, and transportation partners to negotiate favorable terms, ensure reliable service, and resolve any issues that may arise. 6. Inventory Control: Implement robust inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence while maintaining optimal inventory levels in internal and external warehouses to meet customer demand. Oversee raw material management with cycle counting, pick and pack, and kitting for physical count and inventory management through SAP. 7. Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the logistics department's performance, and regularly analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization through Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and other data analytical tools. 8. Compliance and Regulations: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards regarding logistics and supply chain management and ensure compliance across all operations. Oversee the operation and monitoring of import and export customs. 9. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, systems, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Revise and establish SOPs for Logistics operations. 10. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, such as procurement, sales, customer service, and other stakeholders to ensure the alignment of logistics activities with overall business objectives and customer requirements. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Fluency in Korean is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience of a minimum of 10 years in logistics and supply chain management, with a track record of success in leadership roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
- Leadership qualities such as integrity, resilience, adaptability, and a passion for driving results.
