Service Advisor
Job Summary
The Service Advisor is the front line of the customer experience and plays a critical role in the success of the shop. This role is responsible for managing repair orders from intake to completion, including writing tickets, sourcing parts, building estimates, and communicating with customers. You will act as the bridge between the customer and the technicians, ensuring accurate diagnostics are translated into clear, honest recommendations. This position requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple vehicles at once in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with ownership and have the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the company expands.

Objectives
- Deliver an exceptional, honest customer experience from drop-off to pickup
- Accurately write and manage repair orders for 15–20 vehicles at a time with a team of 2
- Communicate clearly with customers on diagnostics, pricing, and timelines
- Source parts efficiently and accurately based on vehicle VIN and repair needs
- Build detailed, accurate estimates including labor and parts markup
- Maintain organization and accuracy within the POS system
- Collaborate effectively with technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Ensure timely follow-up with customers and status updates
- Close out tickets efficiently, including invoicing and payment collection
- Support shop productivity and revenue goals without compromising integrity
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
- Fully independent, managing daily workflow of 15–20 vehicles with a team
- High accuracy in estimates, parts sourcing, and repair orders
- Strong customer satisfaction and trust (minimal complaints, high approvals)
- Efficient communication with both customers and technicians
- Consistent ability to hit shop throughput goals without delays
- Demonstrates alignment with company values—no unnecessary upselling
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Service Advisor (5+ preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology
- Experience with POS/shop management systems
- Ability to multitask and manage high volume in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High level of integrity and ethical decision-making
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $50K-$60K
- Bonus/Commission: Tiered monthly performance bonuses tied to gross profit, repair order accuracy, customer satisfaction, and shop throughput.
- Total Compensation: Strong performers can expect $75,000 – $90,000+ annual
- PTO:
- Year 2: 1 week paid
- Year 3: 2 weeks paid
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (no weekends)
