Reporting to an Imaging Services Manager with close collaboration from the Radiology Director and Cardiology leadership, the Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist partners with friendly nurses and a diverse team of technologists, pharmacists, physicists, radiologists, and cardiologists to perform PET/CT and SPECT exams, cardiac stress protocols, and radiopharmaceutical handling while maintaining ALARA standards, hot-lab quality control, dose calibration, and accreditation readiness; this structure empowers a Nuclear Cardiology Technologist or PET Technologist to work with clear protocols, decision-support tools, and supportive preceptors who value safety, accuracy, and compassion at the bedside.
