Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor (Night Shift)

Maintenance Supervisor (12-Hour Night Shift) Job Purpose Lead our night-shift maintenance team at Mars! You will supervise and develop a team of technicians, oversee complex mechanical and facility repairs, and ensure our high-speed production lines run safely, efficiently, and to the highest food-quality standards.

Shift Schedule (2-Week Rotation)

• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (5:00 PM/6:00 PM – 5:30 AM/6:30 AM)

• Week 1: ON Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun (OFF Wed, Thu)

• Week 2: ON Wed, Thu (OFF Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun)

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct, train, and support night-shift maintenance technicians, ensuring safe work practices and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Maintenance Oversight: Guide the troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems across manufacturing and packaging lines.

• Workflow Management: Manage shift handovers, prioritize work orders via CMMS, and drive the preventative maintenance schedule.

• Safety & Quality Champion: Enforce strict adherence to Mars Safety Standards (LOTO) and Food Safety guidelines (GMP, HACCP).

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Degree or technical certification preferred).

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven supervisory or team-lead experience.

• Hands-on expertise with mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking software (CMMS/SAP).

• Hands-on PLC experience: Ability to connect, read, and use ladder logic for troubleshooting controls and automation issues.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical repairs on all assigned equipment, including basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems at the component level (e.g., packaging, conveying, processing or facilities equipment, etc).

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 49lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working weekends
