Job summary
Growing aerospace company is seeking an experienced shipping/receiving clerk to ship and receive materials, tools, supplies, and other items pertaining to the aerospace manufacturing industry. Candidate may be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Report to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities/daily tasks
- Use computer applications to generate labels and schedule pickups.
- Maintain stock of shipping supplies
- Use shipping/receiving equipment as needed (pallet jack,fork lift, tape gun, etc.)
- Wrap and package product when necessary.
- Receive materials, tools, supplies, and other items using company’s ERP system.
- Inspect received product for damages or issues caused by mishandling or incorrectly processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the company handbook.
- Complete other tasks as required by management.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and material handling equipment.
- Ability to abide by company policies and procedures.
- Proficient using Microsoft office and other computer applications and systems.
- Strong basic math skills
- Strong attention to details
- Hold a clean driving record.
- Ability to pick up on new ideas and take direction.
- OK with working weekends and long hours as required.
- Willingness to work 6 AM - 8 PM as required per company demands.
- Ability to show up for work each day on time.
- Ability to stay productive throughout the work day.
- Must possess a good work ethic and be eager to learn.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist, and lift 80+ LBS frequently throughout the work day.
- Possess a good attitude, get along with fellow co-workers.
- Ability to work in close proximity to others.
Relation of the position to others in the company
The shipping/receiving clerk works directly with our purchasing and production team in shipping and receiving in all necessary items pertaining to the company.
