Sales Associate
Summary
The Sales Associate plays a key role in providing top-notch client service and hitting individual sales targets. This position involves building lasting relationships with clients through a strong understanding of our products. We seek an individual with a proven track record in achieving sales goals within a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable leading the sales process, which includes targeting potential customers, developing proposals, and closing deals. While experience managing independent representatives or distributors is preferred, it’s your professionalism and integrity that will set you apart.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize your daily work schedule to connect with retailers, distributors, catalogers, e-tailers, and other relevant customers.
- Grow existing customer accounts by obtaining larger orders and scheduling promotions to boost sales both online and offline.
- Engage in all sales functions, including handling inquiries, preparing quotations, entering orders, and managing schedules.
- Follow up on leads and successfully close deals.
- Meet all sales goals and quotas.
- Maintain sales call reports and regularly update the database regarding customer interactions, quotations, and opportunities.
- Utilize market research and business contacts to identify new customer opportunities in your assigned market(s).
- Identify and participate in training opportunities to enhance business and product knowledge.
- Attend trade shows and other relevant events to expand market reach and customer development.
- Stay updated on all products and services offered by the company.
- Maintain a current knowledge of product lines and pricing.
Requirements
- Strong self-initiative with a proven ability to achieve sales goals with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently close sales and generate revenue.
- Proven success in a similar sales position.
- Strong phone presence and experience in outbound calling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Solution-oriented approach to selling.
- Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships, both via phone and in person.
