Senior Database Developer

Job Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Job Description:

The State of Georgia is seeking a Senior Database Developer with expertise in Oracle Database Development using PL/SQL and SQL . The ideal candidate should have experience in database administration, ETL processes, and software development life cycle (SDLC).

Specialty Areas:

• Database Development & Administration – Strong expertise in Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and SQL.
  

• ETL & Data Analysis – Experience with ETL processes, logical and physical database design.
  

• SDLC & Business Documentation – Working experience with business requirement documents, functional design, and testing.
  

• Stored Procedures & Business Logic – Ability to write stored procedures, functions, and packages based on business requirements.
  

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and administer databases and servers.
  

• Work closely with Enterprise Data Architects to design, develop, and maintain database objects.
  

• Develop and maintain systems and user documentation.
  

• Provide database support for agency staff.
  

• Assist in data analysis and business process documentation.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics .
  

• Minimum 8+ years of job-specific experience .
  

• Candidates previously submitted to cancelled requisition GDOT Database Developer (671119) will not be considered .
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with state/local government projects .
  

• Strong experience in database administration and optimization .
  

• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
