Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in the accurate and efficient movement of merchandise through the facility. This position focuses on following pick sheets, preparing orders for shipping, receiving and verifying incoming goods, and maintaining high levels of accuracy in inventory and documentation while working under time constraints and established productivity and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow pick sheets to accurately select products and set up orders for shipping.
• Count, verify, and accurately receive merchandise from trucks and containers.
• Sort, prepare, and organize merchandise for storage in designated areas.
• Maintain high order accuracy and promptly update purchasing or inventory records on received goods.
• Work efficiently under time constraints while meeting productivity, accuracy, and service standards.
• Ensure all receiving, sorting, and documentation tasks are completed with high precision.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipments and processing incoming deliveries.
• Carry out order picking, packing, and material handling tasks as needed.
• Use data entry skills to record and update inventory, receiving, and shipping information in warehouse systems.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, in a safe and responsible manner when required.

Work Environment

This role is based in a busy warehouse environment that is non-climate-controlled, requiring comfort with varying temperatures throughout the year. The setting involves regular material handling, movement of merchandise, and use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts. Work is hands-on and physically active, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrenceville, GA.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
