Join the dynamic Marketing Automation Process & Strategy (MAPS) team as an Event Technology Strategist. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to collaborate closely with Global and Field Marketing Teams and IT to lead the migration of all events towards integrated platforms, aligning seamlessly with business requirements and SAP's data landscape. You are instrumental in establishing the groundwork that empowers our marketers to deliver an exceptional and contemporary event experience to SAP's customers.

As the Event Technology Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological roadmap and overseeing the implementation of event platforms and apps as part of our integrated marketing automation strategy. Your success in this role will be defined by your adept stakeholder management skills, proven experience in technology implementation, and a deep understanding of business strategy, particularly within the realm of Marketing Omnichannel Strategy.

In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in driving the transformation and innovation of SAP's global marketing efforts. While events will be a key focus, we anticipate broader responsibilities that align with SAP's evolving priorities in Marketing Transformation, including the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies.

Expectations & Tasks:

  • Collaborate with Business Owners to craft a holistic and standardized event tech roadmap and data strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the migration of 3rd party events to an intermediary platform for data normalization, establishing rules and onboarding vendors.
  • Proactively seek and implement improvements, whether technical or process-oriented, in line with the latest best practices.
  • Capture changes in business requirements and ensure their alignment with system tools.
  • Lead collaboration with stakeholders for projects such as integrating event content management or localization tools into the marketing ecosystem.
  • Work closely with Omnichannel Architecture team to ensure Event Invitation and Nurture Strategy will be integrated into the customer journey, including its migration to Marketo.
  • Present Strategy and JIRAs to Cohesive Strategist for review and collaborate with IT to ensure right-fitting solution
  • Collaborate with the Digital Experience Team on Registration strategy for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3, ensuring downstream processes like Scoring, Routing, Nurture Entry, and Reporting are well-aligned.
  • Expand the capture of behavioral signals related to events to optimize personalization at scale, adhering to Omnichannel Strategy requirements.
  • Document deliveries and create processes while enabling marketers on how to use deliveries as self-service.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Marketing Technology.
  • Tech-savvy with a solid background in Marketing Technology and Marketing Business Strategy.
  • Proven experience in technology implementation; experience focused solely on use of tech in context of campaign execution is not sufficient.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, time management, and change management skills.
  • Highly flexible and able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment, handling uncertainty and frequent changes with ease.
  • The role is global so flexibility in working with all time zones required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience in the software industry or a similar role is a plus.
  • Adaptability to evolving marketing trends and technologies is crucial.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 99,000 - 216,000 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
