Data Analyst (Benefits)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data analysis of benefits data, loading and managing deductions, reconciliation, reviewing inputs and exports, and solving participant issues
- Create and prepare monthly executive dashboards
- Track monthly invoices
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends
- Query multiple databases and transmit census data to third-party vendors
- Participate in surveys and benchmark best practices; research industry and employment trends; track legislation and estimate its impact
- Collaborate with other departments, particularly payroll, compensation, IT, and Finance
- Reviews and reconciles annual 1095 and 1094 transmittals prepared by third-party
- ACA Compliance, including monitoring hours worked by part-time team members
- User Acceptance Testing related to system updates and configuration, including the third-party benefits administration system (Businessolver) for the Annual Enrollment configuration
This is a direct hire position. We are currently based in Duluth, but we will be moving to Sandy Springs in November of this year. After 90 days, you can telecommute up to two days a week based on performance. Excellent benefits, including a 401(k) match, stock awards, flex time, paid training, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1+ years as a Data Analyst
- Strong data analysis experience
- Advanced Excel (i.e., V-Lookups, Pivot Tables)
- Experience with creating reports (prefer Access)
- Experience in loading and managing data , reconciliation, reviewing inputs and exports, and solving issues
- Comfortable working with large sets of data and pulling data from multiple systems
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to learn Cognos, XML, and File Transfer Protocol
- Excellent communication skills
- Consultative personality
- Very high sense of analytical and problem-solving skills
- High sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment (ability to adapt to change quickly)
- Ability to pass a complete background check and drug test (excluding marijuana)
