Staff Accountant

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to become a key member of their growing finance team. What You’ll Do:

• Handle general ledger responsibilities, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, COGS analysis, and fixed asset accounting.
• Support month-end close processes in a fast-paced environment (5-day close).
• Perform account payable reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with ongoing ERP system implementation (NetSuite) and enhancements.

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; OR significant progressive experience in accounting.
• 3+ years of general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliation experience.
• Proven skills in balance sheet reconciliations, especially accounts payable.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Ability to adapt quickly and efficiently in a collaborative environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Retail industry background.
• Familiarity with fraud research and resolution processes.
• Experience using Bill.com.

Location:

• Fully in-office position in Smyrna, GA (Atlanta metro area).
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
