PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT - MILTON OUTPATIENT

Overview:Under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist, assists the physical therapist in implementing treatment programs according to the plan of care, administers modalities, trains patients in therapeutic exercise, transfers, and gait training. Performs duties in support of the Beebe Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an efficient manner. This position may be asked to supervise Physical Therapy Aides, volunteers, and students.
Responsibilities:Excels in professional growth and development. Willingness to work in multiple venues and adjust work schedule to meet department mission. Provides community education in conjunction with hospital education programs. Ability to correctly identify problems and develop a treatment plan at conclusion of the initial evaluation. Emphasizes and achieves continuity of care through effective documentation and verbal communication. Adequate computer skills to achieve accurate billing and documentation. Professional demeanor and appearance. Ability to effectively and safely transfer patients with significant physical and/or mental impairment. Ability to respond to Specific Task Requests. Demonstrates Clinical Competence
Qualifications:Will consider a new graduate. Two years Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred.
