Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team for construction projects based in Savannah, Georgia. This position involves installing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes. The role requires the technical application of electrical principles using the appropriate equipment and implementing the necessary safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial electrical work, with specific experience in hotel projects preferred.
• Conduct rough-ins and final installations of conduit and MC Cable.
• Install electrical panels, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and wiring in equipment.
• Carry out start-up and energizing procedures for equipment.
• Work on fire systems in common areas such as the main floor, basement work areas, hallways, stairwells, restaurant, and rooftop bar.
• Provide necessary tools including, but not limited to, knife, pliers/linemen, screwdrivers, nut drivers, keyhole saw, hacksaw, hammer, level (small 12"), channel locks, needle nose pliers/long nose pliers, voltage meter/tester, tool pouch/belt for electrical, diagonal pliers, wrenches/stranded/metric, taps (6/32, 8/32, 10/24), wire strippers, socket set, tape measure (at least 25 ft.), side cutters, flashlight, cordless drill/impact drill, wrench set, crescent wrench.

Essential Skills

• Experience in commercial electrical work.
• Proficiency in running MC Cable and pulling cable.
• Ability to install lighting, panels, switches, outlets, and other electrical components.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes.
• Capability to read blueprints.
• Competence in troubleshooting, conduit bending, cable repair, and electrical wiring.
• Experience with switchgear.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
