Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 20252026 school year providing speech and language therapy services across K-12 settings within a school district in Jefferson County, Georgia. This role primarily focuses on supporting elementary students, with additional services provided to older students in self-contained classrooms. The position involves managing a caseload of up to 55 students in accordance with state guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy aligned with IEP goals and federal/state regulations
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to facilitate student progress
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for diverse student needs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing professional expertise
  • Maintain thorough documentation and report on student progress regularly
  • Support the generalization of communication skills across various settings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Georgia SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows with strong pediatric experience considered
  • Previous experience in school-based SLP roles is preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Capacity to effectively manage a district-wide caseload across multiple locations
