Material Control Coordinator

As a Materials Control Coordinator supporting our manufacturing site, you will be trusted with planning, scheduling, and handling the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production in Johns Creek, GA. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Receiving and processing of incoming material
• Performing raw material inventory control
• Processing outgoing finished product and semi-finished product
• Maintaining safety and training others
• Developing raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules
• Planning and handling material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production
• Negotiating lead times with suppliers and handling schedules for timely delivery if needed
• Maintaining inventory control of equipment parts if needed

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• Work hours: 12-hour rotating shift, from 6:30am - 6:30pm
• Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Organization and housekeeping skills
• SAP Experience is highly preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Having forklift experience and knowledge of MRP systems is a plus
