Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position on an Oncology floor, requiring at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience and the ability to manage higher patient ratios.

Details

• Day shift position working 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with 3x12 scheduling preferred; 4x12 will also be considered
• Medical/Surgical unit with an Oncology floor focus
• Patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7; experience with higher patient ratios is required
• Block scheduling will be considered
• EMR systems used are Cerner and Soarian; Cerner experience is preferred
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA license or Compact RN license accepted; if license is pending, proof that the process is underway is required for consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Telemetry experience required
• IV start skills required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience managing patient ratios of 1:6 or higher required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• A copy of Driver's License and proof of residence required for consideration

Additional Information

• Oncology experience is highly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
• Royal blue scrubs are required and are not provided by the facility
• Candidates living within 31–50 miles of the facility are eligible and will be considered at a local rate; candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility will not be considered
• RTO must be minimal, particularly around holidays; any RTO requests should be disclosed upfront
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable online modules are required to be completed prior to the start of the assignment via HealthStream
• 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension
