Title Clerk
Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven Title Clerk. The Title Clerk will work directly with the Office Manager and other office personnel to ensure the accounting office runs smoothly and efficiently. The main focus of the Title Clerk is to process titles and registrations, as well as process car deals by securing funding from lenders.
Job Responsibilities
- Verifies data, completes state forms, makes disbursement for taxes and fees, and submits to state agencies
- Processes new car and pre owned registrations
- Processes pre-owned vehicle title transfers
- Maintains follow-up on all incoming titles
- Process and maintain registrations for dealership's loaner fleet
- Maintains and reconciles schedules for tax, title and license payable and lien payoffs
- Processes payoffs on trade-ins
- Verifies contracts and all deals are complete as they are recieved from the Finance Manager
- Submit contracts and supporting documents to financial institutions for funding in a timely manner
- Data entry
- Recordkeeping
- Process Dealer Trade paperwork
- Assist the accounting department with administrative tasks
- Will work directly with the Office Manager with a goal of professional and personal development
- Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma; and title/tag and accounting experience.
Qualifications
- Title Clerk experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
- CDK experience preferred
- Dealership accounting experience preferred
- Basic data entry skills
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills required
- Must be able to multitask and follow directions
- Detail oriented
- Positive attitude and eagerness to improve with strong work ethic
- Able to be successful in an individual and team setting
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Valid U.S. Driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must pass background and drug screen
