**Underground Utilities Foreman**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to lead and manage a crew of up to 5 people, including operators and laborers. The Foreman will be responsible for creating and maintaining schedules, managing materials, and ensuring the smooth operation of projects in collaboration with the superintendent. This role demands a proactive leader who is adept at problem-solving and keen on maintaining productivity.
**Responsibilities**
+ Create and maintain work schedules.
+ Manage a crew of up to 5 people, including operators and laborers.
+ Submit reports and track jobsite progress.
+ Order materials and manage inventory effectively.
+ Conduct morning meetings to discuss daily goals and track productivity.
+ Collaborate closely with the superintendent to ensure smooth project operations.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory position on a grading or utility crew.
+ Proficient in construction and supervisory skills.
+ OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
+ Experience in ordering and managing materials and equipment.
+ Comfortable writing reports and tracking jobsite progress.
+ Ability to maintain schedules effectively.
+ Experience with Backhoe, Skid steer, underground utilities, and safety procedures.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ CDL license is a plus.
+ Ability to operate equipment is advantageous.
+ Familiarity with GPS and layouts is ideal.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves engaging in large-scale projects, specifically in underground utility and grading, as well as pipe work. The role requires working Monday to Friday, with 12-hour shifts from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, and occasional Saturdays. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and provide their own steel toe boots. The project is set to start in mid-December and is expected to last for 12 months. Interviews will be conducted in mid-November, with offers extended shortly thereafter.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
