Machining Utility Driver (Forklift)
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include addressing, stamping and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, sorting, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver or route materials to departments using work devices such as forklift, hand truck, etc.
- Locates materials by FIFO procedures to ensure the correct product at line
- Examine contents and compare labels, verify accuracy of label
- Scan materials to proper warehouse locations
- Label rows with placard to identify product
- Maintain storage spaces, cast and machined parts, dunnage
- Support maintaining and sorting customer layer pads for Machining production
- Maintains material handling equipment by completing all necessary inspections
- Relay to Department Coordinator any problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
- Participate in continuous improvement and 5-S activity
- Meet overall company goals established concerning key performance indicators
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- 6 months to 1 year related experience
- Forklift experience
- Shipping/material handling experience
