Traveling Electric Vehicle Field Service Tech- Southeast
- Understand the complete vehicle at a systemic/component level to effectively and efficiently diagnose and repair
- Represent Orange EV in the utmost professional manner
- Utilize the Remote Monitoring System and the service-keeping system to determine a service plan and prioritize customer needs
- Accurately record all service activity in the service record-keeping system
- Communicate with customers and third-party service providers to aid in diagnosis or issue escalation and promote the most efficient repair scenario
- Work with the site manager and the electrician regarding the logistics of charging infrastructure location, cost, and timing
- Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and prepare thorough reports on the condition of the vehicle
- Support Customer Technicians and Third-Party Service Providers with ancillary repairs
- Deliver Operator and Maintenance training in addition to sales and business development support
- Will be traveling to support markets for PTO coverage, large repairs that require assistance, and regions without a current technician or backlog of work to support our customers
- Travel amounts will vary, but potentially could involve being gone for multiple weeks at a time or back-to-back trips with return to the home market for the weekend.
- When no travel work is needed, this role supports the service team at our production facility with repairs, update work(Recalls), and truck reconditioning.
- High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred
- 1 or more years of experience in the automotive or electrical industries
- Intermediate to Advance level experience with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and TEAMS.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service
- Analytical approach to problem-solving
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs at waist level and occasionally up to 75- 100 lbs
- Ability to squat, sit, lie under, or climb on the vehicle routinely.
- Ability to handle many functions at one time and adjust to rapidly changing priorities and schedules
- Ability to set and prioritize goals and achieve them according to a schedule
- Ability to execute and follow through on instructions given by the supervisor
- Ability to articulate clearly when writing, including composition, spelling, and punctuation.
- Must be available for regular unplanned travel.
- Ability to travel by plane, vehicle, or other needed means of transportation without restrictions while bringing needed tools and equipment to perform repairs.
- Must possess or be able to acquire a Passport, TWIC, TSA card, and any additional background checks our customers may have for site security requirements.
