Software engineer
The Software Engineer is responsible for assisting in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications under the guidance of senior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, contribute to technical solutions, and continuously learn and grow your engineering skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies (team standup, retrospective etc.)
- Provide production support, tirage and solve production issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Develop business features by designing, developing, and testing software solutions.
- Assess current SDP modules by conducting systems analysis and recommending optimizations to make the application more performant/respond to customer needs.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and development practices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of Software Engineering experience with a focus on APIs and system integration.
- More than 2 years of experience in agile methodologies.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of portal software, design, and development.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- More than 2 years of experience in supporting and triaging customer-facing platforms.
- More than 2 years of experience in monitoring tools New Relics, data dog.
- More than 2 years of experience in linux/unix, SQL, Java, Spring, Python and AWS.
- Experience with Palantir.
