Description

About Togethering

Togethering is a new endeavor designed to support young, modern couples as they explore how Jewish wisdom, practices, and stories can bring something meaningful to the lives they build together—on their own terms and in their own time. We do this through awe-inspiring immersive travel, authentic personal exploration, and ongoing opportunities to build community with other great couples.

The Senior Director, Learning & Facilitation is a senior leader and trusted partner to the Executive Director, serving as the architect and driver of Togethering’s faculty strategy. The role is the organization’s growth engine for scaling the Togethering program to communities across North America, ensuring that every trip, facilitator, and participant experience is delivered with excellence, consistency, and care.

This leader will oversee all aspects of faculty training and curriculum mastery, and be responsible for building the infrastructure needed to sustain a national network of rabbis, experience facilitators, and post-trip engagement leaders / local partners. This person will design and direct Togethering’s Faculty Training Academy, offer 1:1 faculty coaching, and ensure staff are equipped to deliver transformative experiences aligned with Togethering’s impact goals.

This year, Togethering integrated with Honeymoon Israel. While maintaining two distinct brands and programs, the integration ensures that we can reach the maximum number of diverse young couples with at least one Jewish partner who are looking for Jewish connection.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership in Faculty & Program Excellence

  • Serve as the leader responsible for the development, training, and excellence of Togethering’s faculty nationwide.
  • Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to design and implement faculty learning and development strategies that enable Togethering’s rapid program scale.
  • Provide vision, leadership, and accountability for faculty readiness, quality of facilitation, and participant impact outcomes.
  • Develop learning and recommendations reports that synthesize trends, opportunities, and “pain points” across trips.

Faculty Training & Development

  • Manage two Togethering staff who support trip and post-trip program design and preparations.
  • Design, implement, and oversee the Togethering Faculty Training Academy, preparing all faculty to deliver the curriculum with excellence, inclusivity, and participant-centered care. This includes:
    • Trip orientation planning and preparations with trip faculty team,
    • Full walk-through of curriculum and of specific sessions depending on facilitator needs,
    • 1:1 coaching with facilitators to determine facilitation roles in curriculum, strengthen facilitation skills, and provide feedback on specific content sessions.
  • Ensure readiness across Togethering staff team on the ground for each trip with clear roles and responsibilities: team lead, rabbi facilitator, experience facilitator, operations facilitator and/or local partner.
  • Lead post-trip project team retrospective for trip faculty to process learnings and manage faculty self-evaluation surveys.
  • Host refresher training sessions with curriculum updates, facilitation strategies, and program enhancements.

Faculty Management & Community Building

  • Oversee all Togethering faculty, including trip staff and post-trip engagement facilitators.
  • Recruit Togethering faculty who are exceptional facilitators with strong backgrounds in Jewish education, experiential facilitation, and mixed-heritage couples engagement. Develop system for sourcing, interviewing, and hiring Togethering faculty. Determine the key traits / the profile for a successful Togethering facilitator informed by Togethering participant evaluation.
  • Match facilitators to trips based on skill set, style, and cohort needs.
  • Design and oversee a facilitator performance review process, ensuring that faculty are given the feedback, coaching, and tools they need to strengthen their skills and maintain Togethering standards.
  • Manage and grow a faculty community of practice to foster peer learning.

Curricular Resource Design

  • Serve as the expert on the Togethering curriculum.
  • Lead the Togethering curriculum revision process.
  • Collaborate with Experience Designer and Director of Evaluation to guide adaptations and curriculum enhancements based on faculty and participant feedback, and evaluation data.
  • Develop and maintain a faculty resource library to provide easy access to curriculum materials, facilitation tools, and best practices.
  • Develop and refine mixed-heritage facilitation best practices to ensure inclusive and meaningful experiences for all couples.

Program Facilitation

  • Oversee and facilitate Togethering trip orientations for participants and staff.
  • Co-facilitate and or observe 6-7 Togethering trips per calendar year throughout North America providing faculty with live feedback and coaching.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles in informal Jewish education, faculty management, educator training, program leadership, or related fields.
  • Proven success in building and scaling training programs that ensure quality at scale.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor faculty nationwide.
  • Deep knowledge of Jewish traditions, values, and educational approaches, with a passion for inclusive, pluralistic engagement.
  • Experience with data informed decision-making as it relates to program measurement. Ability to interpret program impact data to share feedback with staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with comfort navigating a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Comfort with remote team management and national program coordination.
  • Track record of facilitating gatherings that integrate principles of diversity, equity, accessibility, and belonging into learning design.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and to Mexico.
