Cowan ACE Hardware Green Street Conyers is looking for a Positive Upbeat employee as Part Time Cashier to uphold the Core Values as determined by the management team.

Our Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Must be able to work Saturdays/Sundays

Customer Service

• Project a positive representation of Ace Hardware.

• Greet customers entering store, finding out what they need assistance in and sending to the correct isle. Radio someone in the department to assist. Thank customers for coming in when they are leaving the store.

• Have a friendly, outgoing demeanor, work well with customers as well as associates.

• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently. Making sure to scan each and every item.

• Communicate to customer/manager any problem or issue that requires management assistance.

• Continually build product knowledge with classes on ACE Learning portal, learning store layout and product location.

Register Operations:

• Follow all cash register transaction procedures set forth by ACE Hardware learning the POS system in a timely manner with few mistakes.

• Adhere to any Store Support Center program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers ACE Rewards, round up for charitable donations and promotions.

Front End Appearance and Upkeep:

• Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times. Dust and sweep register and Impulse Area.

• Assist with keeping Impulse Counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise in as seasons change.

• Ensure fresh ads are stocked for customers to see.

• Responsible to make sure all forms and supplies are stocked at all times at cash register.

• Inform management when merchandise returns need to be put away.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

High School or GED equivalent.

Bi-Lingual preferred

Need a will to want to work and learn new things in a face paced Retail environment

Experience:

Cashier experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for long period of times.

Part Time position.
