Senior Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. This role supports safe and efficient building operations while delivering high-quality service and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and building standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems including pumps, motors, air handlers, controls, and related components.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, lighting repairs, VFD maintenance, and general building repairs.
- Operate and monitor Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Follow all safety procedures including LOTO, confined space, fall protection, arc flash, and PPE requirements.
- Submit parts requests, maintain work documentation, and respond to tenant service requests professionally.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial facility maintenance experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, building controls, electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Understanding of safety procedures including LOTO, confined space, working at heights, and arc flash protocols.
- EPA Universal Certification and NFPA 70E certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
- Ability to read technical documents, use computers and web-based systems, and complete maintenance reports.
- Strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate scissor/boom lifts.
