Worship Ministry Assistant | Piano

POSITION SUMMARY At Thomasville First Baptist, Worship Ministry Assistants serve as worship leaders by providing musical accompaniment at their designated instruments as part of the overall worship ministry of the church, helping share our vision and mission to help people follow Jesus for the joy of Thomasville and the nations through worship. They should understand and appreciate the benefits of traditional worship styles but also honor and recognize the importance of new styles and traditions that are being formed – purposefully working to love and serve all members of the church, no matter which service they attend.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing musical accompaniment primarily in the weekly traditional worship services and as needed in other services or for times of worship such as seasonal programs or other special events

• Participating in weekly Adult Choir rehearsals in preparation for Sunday worship services, and assisting in rehearsals with other choirs as needed

• Providing support for soloists or ensembles as needed

• Remaining available to prepare for, and perform at, weddings and funerals with financial arrangements covered by those seeking those services

• Perform all other duties assigned by the Senior Pastor with an eager and gracious spirit
