About This Role
Kidde Global Solutions (KGS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in the Southeast region of the United States. The ideal candidate will be based in a major metropolitan area such as Atlanta or Nashville, with a strong understanding of the fire safety & electrical industries and a passion for driving growth and customer satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the overall success and expansion of Kidde's key brands, including Kidde, FireX, Badger, and Edwards Signaling.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve regional revenue targets aligned with KGS's overall business objectives.
Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team capable of delivering exceptional results.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, contractors, builders, and rep agencies within the Southeast region.
Implement effective sales processes, technology, and tools to optimize team performance and customer engagement.
Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and identify new market opportunities.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and product positioning.
Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Strategic Alignment: Ensure regional sales plans are synchronized with overall corporate revenue objectives, fostering a unified approach to market penetration and growth.
Key Account Engagement: Maintain close contact with key decision-makers through strategic relationship-building, executive call plans, and personalized engagement strategies.
Customer-Centric Solutions: Utilize deep understanding of customer businesses to craft tailored proposals, demonstrating value and fostering long-term partnerships.
Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of emerging sales tools and platforms to enhance efficiency and data accuracy
Acts as the primary contact with the highly visible and/or strategic prospects, develops a professional relationship with the purpose of understanding and meeting the customer's needs, and within the bounds of the contracted scope.
Leads business development activities for strategic prospects to support the business strategy defined by executive leadership.
Identifies bid opportunities, reviews final bid responses with the team, negotiates with potential large/complex customers, and builds and maintains customer relationships to win projects.
Contact potential large/strategic prospects to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create a new client base and increase sales.
Guides team to write proposals, presents new business proposals for large/strategic prospects, negotiates value, and addresses resistance in order to develop business.
Participates as the management team representative on prospective target accounts and territories. Maintains personal pipeline and customer log. Hunting for opportunities. Establishes personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams
University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record (5-10 years) in sales leadership within the fire safety, electrical, or related industries.
Strong understanding of the Southeast US market, with established networks and relationships preferred.
Exceptional coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies, processes, and technology solutions.
Adept at presenting to Senior Leadership and internal stakeholders, using qualitative input, quantitative data, & persuasive communication.
Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable plans.
Passion for life safety, innovation, and delivering value to customers.
Sales Drive: Strong ability to close sales, negotiate effectively, and deliver results while building relationships with existing and potential clients
Communication Skills: Exceptional listening, communication; documented history of successful sales growth & quota achievement
Experience working with and managing rep firms
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Overnight domestic travel of up to 60% may be required
This is a remote role that will be based near a major US airport

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this role is $147,900 - $174,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both the individual's and the company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
