Job Summary:
The position will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems on top of the Microsoft .NET development stack and a React front end. The Full Stack Developer will provide technical and team leadership and collaborate closely with the Product Owner(s) and other business stakeholders to ensure a common, shared understanding of the technical solutions that will be delivered in order to meet the company's goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enabling the team
- Assist the team in a hands-on capacity as required
- Work with stakeholders to provide technical solutions to problems or issues
- Work with team members to guide solutions towards business and technology goals
- Drive the continuous improvement of processes and ways of work to improve team capacity and capability
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans to better understand the requirements.
- Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current technologies
- Technical leadership
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
- Drive high quality
- Communicate openly and be the voice of the business within your team, keeping them informed of and working towards the business vision & goals
- Mentor team members to create a highly motivated, coherent, and cohesive culture which rewards high performance
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code from feature start to finish.
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
Job specifications
- 7+ years in software engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on development capability in multiple relevant capabilities; specifically – modern JavaScript frameworks including React (18+) and Next.js, C#,.NET Core, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, Jira, GitHub, and Azure SQL.
- Understanding of agile development best practices including Scrum and Lean methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
Nice-to-Have
- Commercial experience in channel incentives management
- Working with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders
MS 0365, JIRA, Confluence and/or Asana collaboration tools- Familiar with BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Python
- Experience with cloud platforms and services provided by Azure and GCP
Physical Requirements:
- Travel requirement - None
- Ability to lift 25 pounds (shipments and office equipment)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- Must be able to move freely inside the office for meetings, access office equipment, inventory operations, etc.
- Operate a keyboard for system access and email communication.
- Position primarily communicates verbally with team both in person and via phone/computer software.
Working conditions
- Hybrid schedule in office three days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
