HVAC Technician III

As a Critical Systems Technician III, HVAC, based in Atlanta, GA, you will take a lead role in ensuring the optimal operation of mechanical systems supporting data center operations. This position offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership, oversee compliance with service contracts, and mentor junior technicians, all while working with advanced HVAC systems in a dynamic and essential industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, service, maintenance, and operation of mission-critical mechanical equipment in data center environments.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual commitments for mechanical services and maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and both routine and emergency repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and various water pumps.
• Work with pneumatic, DDC, and variable frequency drive controls, as well as HVAC air distribution systems such as AHUs, FCUs, and fans.
• Maintain, upgrade, and back up Building Automation Software as required.
• Respond to after-hours calls and participate in on-call assignments as needed.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior technicians, supporting their professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Ability to obtain security clearance preferred.
• Extensive experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment without supervision.
• Proficiency with Building Automation Software and HVAC control systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supervising or mentoring junior technicians.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours and on-call assignments.
