Schedule: Full time Shift: Night (United States of America) Address: 501 REDMOND RD NW City: ROME State: Georgia Postal Code: 30165 Job Description: Minimum Pay: $35 / hour Work Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts, rotating weekends, 7pm-7am Sign on Bonus: $15,000 Professional Excellence Program: Up To 20% differential of total base pay based on level advancement, aligned to education and certification progression to support career growth * Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs. * Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses. * Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. * Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. * Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. * Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). * Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes. * Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care. * Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols. * Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skills required to work in critical care area as defined by unit
• Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Organizational skills, ability to prioritize
• Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members
• Mature judgment and ability to handle confidential information
• Personal qualities such as kindness, compassion, understanding, integrity, respect, sense of humor, discretion, and confidentiality
• Ability to work as a team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to provide leadership, direction, and solve complex problems
• Performs accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills, multi-tasking, and a professional bedside manner
• Knowledgeable in assigned areas of patient care including health promotion and maintenance
• EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)
• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
