OR RN Job Details – Austin, TX Healthcare Opportunity

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel nursing contract)
• Location: Austin, Texas 78704 (Central and West Texas Division)
• Facility: Main Building, 1st Floor
• Unit: Surgery – 14 Operating Rooms (including 2 heart rooms)
• Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1730
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
• Scrub Color: Ciel Blue (provided)
• Awards: 3x Unit of Distinction award winners

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required
• At least 2 years of scrub or circulating nurse experience preferred
• Experience with general, GYN, neuro, orthopedic, plastics, vascular, ENT, and urology surgical procedures
• Robotics, neuro, ortho, and trauma nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Flexible, positive attitude and strong clinical skills

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients in a high-volume OR setting
• Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical specialties
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including RNs, surgical techs, attendants, and anesthesia techs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and dress code standards
• Promote a positive team environment and uphold the unit’s reputation for nursing excellence
