Sr AI Risk & Governance Analyst
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

- 4+ years of job-related work experience
- Strong knowledge of information security and privacy policies, controls, and standards as well as familiarity with distributed and network infrastructure, databases, and cloud computing technologies, model risk management and data governance.
- A working knowledge of information security related laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, HIPAA, SOX, ITGC, NYDFS, NAIC, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, NAIC AI Bulletin). Ability to translate these requirements into enterprise-wide regulatory compliance and risk management processes in support of the AI governance program.
- Experience in Insurance and/or Financial Services industry
- Current designation and maintenance of a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP/US)
- Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), etc
- Maintains awareness of emerging trends related to the use of AI, existing and emerging security, data protection, privacy, and AI laws, compliance frameworks and regulations, as well as leading
- AI TRiSM practices to ensure the Global IRMG program is reflective of those practices
- Assists in the implementation of a robust governance framework for AI systems, ensuring alignment with ethical, regulatory, and corporate standards across a global footprint
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish governance protocols to manage risk throughout the AI lifecycle
- Establish and report on key performance metrics for AI use and risk management, balancing data utility with privacy, security, legal and regulatory requirements
- Assists in administering and facilitating a multidisciplinary AI governance committee representing stakeholders across multiple domains; identifying issues that can be addressed through the responsible use of AI and related technologies
- Assists in developing comprehensive training programs to raise awareness and educate the organization on best practices for using AI in alignment with established policies and procedures
- Engages with cross functional risk pillar leads to deliver a comprehensive risk mitigation strategy to enable high-value AI use cases at the enterprise-level
- Reports on implementation maturity status of the AI Governance Program to senior leadership
- Performs other duties as required
