Machine Operator
As a General Production Worker, you will learn and execute safe machine operation involving the B-25 Band Saw, Groover, and other machinery. You will perform in-process inspections including dimensional verification and surface preparation, ensuring products meet specifications. You will maintain records of inspections, verify product dimensions, and ensure conformance with work orders. Additionally, you will verify proper calibration of inspection instruments and gauges, navigate Medix efficiently, and complete all daily checklists and TPMs. Communication with Line Leads and Shift Supervisors on maintenance issues is also essential.
Responsibilities- Learn and execute elements of safe machine operation involving the B-25 Band Saw and Groover.
- Perform in-process inspections including dimensional verification and surface preparation.
- Maintain records of inspections and results.
- Verify finished product dimensions and conformance with drawings and work orders.
- Ensure proper calibration of all inspection instruments and gauges.
- Navigate Medix per job/spool efficiently.
- Complete all daily checklists and TPMs.
- Ensure completion of all area 5S duties.
- Communicate with Line Leads and Shift Supervisors on machinery maintenance issues.
- Experience in general production and inspection.
- Ability to operate machines such as bandsaws and groovers.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
- Familiarity with metal manufacturing and machine operating.
- High School Diploma.
- Experience in a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment is preferred.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Windows software is preferred.
- Familiarity with SWI/SOP processes.
- Good understanding of shop math (fraction to decimal) and ability to read measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and be self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
