The Hub Manager is responsible for providing cooperative leadership and managing processes to facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve all expectations regarding service, teamwork, safety, compliance, and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Display a positive attitude and provide courteous, friendly service to all internal team members and external clients by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Lanter Delivery Systems Non-Negotiables and apply the concepts daily.
- Inspire and empower warehouse team members and co-workers to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assigned tasks and duties.
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and development of all warehouse team members. Ensure all team members have the tools and resources needed to be successful.
- Responsible for overall performance of warehouse team members, including but not limited t o coaching, discipline and termination as outlined in company policies and procedures.
- Maintain receiving and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational and personnel policies and procedures. Continually seek process improvements by anticipating and proactively solv ing issues, including assisting in customer survey issue resolution.
- L everag e the team to provide outstanding service for all customers, direct and preferred carriers, responsible for the overall customer experience .
- Exceed customer expectations and maintain or improve satisfaction by managing dock operations for on-time, error free deliveries.
- Monitor inbound/outbound schedules of trailers to ensure achievement of on-time, accurate deliveries.
- Develop and provide daily and weekly reports for customers and leadership team, effectively and on time.
- Attend daily/weekly conference calls regarding processes and operations; updat e SOPs as needed.
- Enact contingency plans as needed; identify potential issues and analyze problems to drive appropriate outcomes. Implement updated guidelines to prevent future process failures.
- Work closely with 3rd party carrier companies and collect necessary data for reporting purposes.
- Communicate daily with customers regarding daily volume, exceptions, and data reporting.
- Lead and participa te in process improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for operational contributions to maximize profitability, control cost, and improve efficiencies overall .
- Identify, evaluate, and build new business opportunities; provide guidance on operational changes required to support these opportunities.
- Protect company assets and confidential information in accordance with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to client, team member, and proprietary company information.
Requirements:
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong, r esults-driven leadership skills.
- A nalytical; ab le to problem solve and apply critical thinking to decisions .
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Technical capacity.
- Proven successful experience in supply chain, warehouse, cross-dock, or related field.
- Proven leadership success.
- Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
This position requires up to 35% travel.
