Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in a high-paced, challenging environment where you will be instrumental in developing and implementing operational improvements in the construction of mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work order operations, quality buyoffs, and issuing hardware.
  • Build mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.
  • Perform functional qualification testing and harness routing between kit assemblies.
  • Proficiently use various mechanical tools.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and install fluid and electromechanical components from a schematic or drawing.
  • Work closely with engineers and leadership to drive task times down and ease of repeatability.
  • Rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
  • Play a critical role in coordinated vehicle movements and integrated pressurized ground operations.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a startup development environment.
  • Experience working in a flight development program.
  • Experience transitioning parts/assemblies from the first article to production.
  • Ability to perform tasks such as drilling, riveting, upsizing of holes, and bucking solid rivets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A&P license preferred.
  • CAD/CAM experience preferred.
  • Basic shop knowledge of tools and equipment.
  • Previous systems development experience.
  • GSE build and operations experience.
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to take measurements using precision tools.
  • Previous experience with integration and assembly of large structural assemblies.
  • Some experience and knowledge of simple harnessing and connectorizing.
  • Experience supervising large lifts and rigging.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in-situ on the floor and make redline changes for engineering.
  • Willingness to travel for test operations.

Work Environment

Work in a partially climate-controlled environment that can be hot in summer but is equipped with big fans. Tools are provided, and the atmosphere is very collaborative.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Alpharetta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $39.00/hr.
