About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing team in Smyrna, GA. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in owning the month-end close process, performing reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews
• Perform detailed manual reconciliations in Excel to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Maintain and analyze financial records within QuickBooks
• Utilize Excel extensively, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, to support reconciliations and reporting
• Ensure all financial data is accurate, timely, and properly documented
• Assist with AP and AR processes as needed (not a primary function)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and reporting needs
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities and support additional accounting functions as the company grows

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Senior Accountant role with hands-on ownership of responsibilities
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs (required) and Pivot Tables (preferred)
• Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
• Proven ability to independently manage month-end close and reconciliations
• Solid understanding of journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and balance sheet activity
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
