Welder And Fabricator

Join our team as a Welder and Fabricator, where you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques. Your role will also involve interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process, and inspecting completed welds to ensure structural soundness. You will be welding and fitting various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment.

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
• Weld and fit various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment.

• Proficiency in tape measure, fitting, flux core, pulse, MIG pulse, and squares.
• Strong ability in blueprint reading.
• 3-5+ years of experience in structural fitting and welding.
• 3-5+ years of experience in flux core welding and pulse welding.
• 3-5+ years of experience in reading and interpreting structural blueprints and welding symbols.
• 3-5+ years of experience in converting fractions to decimals to 1/16th and/or 1/32nd from tape measures.

• 3+ years of experience in shipyards and other related fields fabricating and welding large steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment.

Work in a non-climate-controlled shop with open-air buildings, including both old and brand-new structures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, GA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
