Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.

This position will work the day shift: 7am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Waste collection management
• Waste pallet management, operating a Forklift
• Ensure compliance to Nestles Safety and Chain of Responsibility, systems, and procedures
• Adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Cleans trash outside area
• Empties trash containers and transports waste to disposal area
• Keeps walkways clean
• May perform light maintenance, operate shredder and baler
• Assists in training other Associates
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and/or cGMP guidelines
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Prior porter experience in a manufacturing, packaging or warehouse environment required
• Recent experience operating a forklift required, current forklift license preferred
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions in English
• Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc. within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
