Manager IT Indirect Spend
Job Purpose:
Our Manager of IT Indirect Spend will be responsible for the IT vendor management process from SLA monitoring and management to contract renewal/termination. They are responsible for driving operational excellence, and function as the main contact for IT vendor contracts. The manager provides leadership in the standardization of Indirect Spend IT contracting, negotiating, service delivery and solutions for the IT Indirect Spend category.Job Responsibilities:
● Define sourcing strategy and ensure effective management of vendors and sourcing relationships; participate in RFI/RFP processes.● Maintain strategic vendor alignment with Veritiv’s IT organization’s goals & initiatives.
● Develop Its vendor management principles and ensures execution against defined principles.
● Establish strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to strategically develop, implement and optimize vendor management processes, tools, and policies to achieve performance objectives while mitigating vendor risk.
● Develop robust IT vendor relationships to maintain effective communication channels and ensure ongoing alignment across several operations teams.
● Manage all IT contract negotiations and relationship management for all key vendor relationships, including defining service level agreements and implementation of incentive plans aligned with delivering best in class support.
● Lead discovery and research of new IT vendors/technologies.
● Manage governance structure and key contacts to ensure the appropriate vendor interaction takes place to support Veritiv’s business operations.
● Oversee monitoring of vendor performance against contractual obligations to ensure overall effectiveness of vendor-provided services with the utilization of vendor performance dashboards, scorecards and/or reports.
● Proactively engage with corporate departments to support initiatives and strategies associated with key metrics for the unique partnership and the growth of that partnership.
● Ensure vendor performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked, and reported on.
● Manage IT Procurement process through ServiceNow and Indirect Spend field Procurement through Oracle.
● Support IT Finance with quality control for inbound invoices regarding valid accounting codes, associated Purchase Orders, and approval routing.
● Conduct, at the minimum, yearly business reviews with their Business Partners.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
● 5+ years’ experience in IT contract Management, Vendor Management and/or Procurement including standard terms and conditions, SLAs, and IT specific contractual requirements.
● 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance.
● Experience with sourcing, procurement and building a vendor program.
● Demonstrated experience in managing IT teams delivering and supporting complex projects and applications and understanding of foundational technology operations.
● Experience negotiating agreements with Tier One technology and technology service providers including Oracle, IBM, Dell, and Microsoft.
● Expert in IT governance formulation, strategic planning, and fiscal management.
● Highly skilled in negotiations, networking, and decision-making.
● Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial controls as it relates to contract execution, vendor payment, and budgets and planning.
● Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
● Ability to balance what is “right” with what is “realistic.”
● Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and demanding situations/people under pressure.
Work Experience:
● 5-10 years of related job experience. ● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment. ● Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework. ● Must be highly motivated, flexible and deadline driven. ● Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required. ● The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.Education:
