Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant provides clerical, organizational, and administrative support to the Fulton County Department of Senior Services. This role ensures efficient office operations, assists with program coordination, and supports staff in delivering high-quality services to seniors throughout the county. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Schedule : 20 hours a week (Hybrid schedule)
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for the department by answering phones, responding to inquiries, and directing calls or visitors appropriately.
Provide administrative support including preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining department files.
Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents for internal and external use.
Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation in compliance with county policies and regulations.
Coordinate logistics for departmental events, community programs, and senior service activities.
Support budget tracking, invoice processing, and purchasing of office supplies.
Handle confidential information with discretion and in accordance with county guidelines.
Collaborate with staff, community partners, and external agencies to support the mission of the Department of Senior Services.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
Two (2) years of administrative, clerical, or office support experience; experience in human services or government setting a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills, especially when working with seniors and community members.
