This role redefines traditional FP&A. You'll run financial operations for an organization built to scale.

At 2 Hour Learning, you won't spend time preparing static budget reports or depending on business intelligence resources. Instead, you'll design the financial models, real-time dashboards, and operational controls that equip leaders and decision-makers with the insight they require to act with confidence—every day. What you produce directly influences outcomes ranging from new campus rollouts to high-stakes strategic shifts, and it must be timely, precise, and reliable.

You'll manage a dynamic, AI-enhanced finance infrastructure. This includes unified P&L modeling across every school and business line, continuously updated 12–18 month projections that reflect reality within 72 hours, and dashboards that isolate the handful of metrics that truly drive performance. You'll construct this environment using Klair, Syft, and Retool—without needing any engineering resources.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and sustain integrated 3-statement financial models for every school and vertical — connecting enrollment trends, workforce planning, and capital expenditures into a unified projection framework.
• Refresh rolling 12–18 month forecasts on a weekly cadence using current data, and stress-test scenarios for both upside opportunity and downside exposure.
• Create executive-level dashboards powered by live data streams — surfacing critical performance levers and supporting rapid, informed decision-making.
• Deploy AI-driven automation to identify data anomalies, monitor variance trends, and remove manual spreadsheet dependencies throughout finance workflows.
• Produce concise written analyses that distill financial exposure, strategic alternatives, and budget trade-offs — suitable for board review and deliverable within 72 hours.

• Running a sluggish annual budget cycle — your forecasts adapt continuously alongside the business.
• Enforcing departmental spending limits or tracking expense receipts — your focus is strategic insight and financial control, not administrative overhead.
• Relying on BI or data teams — you independently build the dashboards, models, and analytic tools required.
• Getting lost in low-value detail — your mission is to extract the handful of insights that alter outcomes.
• Creating static reports that gather dust — your output informs real decisions within days of delivery.

Director Of Financial Operations Key Responsibilities

Own the delivery of continuously refreshed financial models, forecasts, and dashboards that enable day-to-day decision-making and long-term strategic visibility across a fast-expanding portfolio of schools.

Basic Requirements

• Based in the U.S. and authorized to work without visa sponsorship
• Available to travel approximately 25% to school campuses throughout the U.S.
• 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, Big 4 corporate finance/M&A (excluding audit), or high-growth FP&A roles
• Demonstrated ability building integrated 3-statement financial models aligned with U.S. GAAP
• Capable of producing investor-quality analysis and actionable recommendations under compressed timelines
• Has built automated finance systems using AI and low-code platforms independently

Nice-to-have Requirements

• CPA/CFA/MBA credential
• Hands-on ERP experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
• Background in multi-site education, facilities management, or operationally intensive sectors
• Prior involvement in board-level financial reporting or investor communications
• History of developing AI-powered dashboards or low-code finance automation
• Experience in high-touch service industries with rigorous financial discipline

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
