We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a great team in the Sandy Springs area. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the financial reporting process. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and process journal entries, maintaining accurate general ledger records.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing supporting schedules and analyses.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records, both physical and electronic.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments and invoices.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and smooth operations.

• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.

• Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
