Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Combined In-Home and In-Office ABA Services | Atlanta Metro, Georgia

Office Location: 3985 Steve Reynolds Blvd, Norcross, GA 30093

About Us

We are a values-driven ABA therapy practice serving children and families across the Atlanta metropolitan area. After a deliberate operational pause to refine our clinical model and rebuild with intention, we are reopening our doors with a renewed commitment to ethical, individualized, and outcome-focused care.

Our practice is grounded in the belief that meaningful progress happens when clinical excellence meets genuine respect for the autonomy, dignity, and assent of every learner we serve. We are looking for a BCBA who shares that commitment — someone who wants to help shape the culture of a relaunching center, not just fill a position.

Position Summary

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is the clinical leader for an assigned caseload of clients receiving ABA services in home, community, and center-based settings. The BCBA designs, implements, and supervises individualized treatment programs grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis, with an emphasis on naturalistic teaching, assent-based intervention, and measurable, socially significant outcomes.

This is a foundational hire as we reopen our doors. The selected BCBA will have meaningful input into clinical workflows, RBT training systems, and program development — and a clear pathway to clinical leadership as we grow.

Employment Type & Schedule

  • Full-time and part-time W-2 arrangements available; structure is open to discussion with the right candidate
  • Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility for early evening hours to accommodate family schedules
  • No required weekend work; weekend hours optional and incentivized when applicable
  • Hybrid in-home and in-office service delivery within Atlanta metro service area

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Treatment Planning

  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), including indirect, descriptive, and (when clinically indicated) functional analysis methodologies
  • Administer and interpret standardized assessments such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, PEAK, and Vineland-3 as appropriate to the learner
  • Develop individualized, function-based treatment plans aligned with payer documentation standards (Georgia Medicaid, CMOs, and commercial insurance)
  • Build behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that prioritize antecedent strategies, skill-building, and least-restrictive procedures
  • Conduct preference and assent assessments and incorporate learner voice into programming

Direct Service & Protocol Modification

  • Provide direct ABA services billed under HCPCS 97155 (Adaptive Behavior Treatment with Protocol Modification)
  • Conduct family adaptive behavior treatment guidance (97156) and structured parent training sessions
  • Lead clinical case reviews and adjust treatment plans based on data trends
  • Monitor generalization and maintenance across home, community, and center environments

RBT Training & Supervision

  • Provide ongoing supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians in compliance with BACB requirements (minimum 5% of direct service hours)
  • Conduct RBT competency assessments aligned with the BACB RBT Task List (current edition)
  • Develop and deliver in-service training, performance feedback, and corrective action plans as needed
  • Mentor RBTs interested in BCBA fieldwork pathways

Parent & Caregiver Training

  • Deliver structured caregiver training to support generalization, behavior reduction, and skill acquisition in the natural environment
  • Coach caregivers in evidence-based strategies including naturalistic teaching, antecedent management, and reinforcement-based behavior change
  • Build authentic, collaborative partnerships with families that respect cultural, linguistic, and family-system context

Data, Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with Georgia Medicaid, CMO (Amerigroup, Peach State, CareSource), and commercial payer standards
  • Review and analyze RBT-collected data weekly; adjust protocols based on data-driven decision-making
  • Submit treatment plans, progress reports, and reauthorization documentation within established timelines
  • Adhere to the BACB Ethics Code (current edition) in all professional activities
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and protected health information standards

Collaboration & Coordination of Care

  • Coordinate with pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, school-based teams, and Babies Can't Wait providers as relevant
  • Participate in IEP meetings and 504 planning when appropriate and authorized
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with caregivers, payers, and referral sources

Required Qualifications

  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, in good standing
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year of post-certification BCBA experience, OR demonstrated equivalent experience as a BCaBA or supervised fieldwork supervisor
  • Working knowledge of the BACB Ethics Code (current edition) and ability to apply it in real-world clinical decision-making
  • Experience conducting FBAs and developing function-based behavior intervention plans
  • Experience supervising RBTs in compliance with BACB standards
  • Reliable transportation, valid Georgia driver's license, and current auto insurance (in-home service component)
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprint-based screening as required by Georgia Medicaid and CMO standards
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of post-certification BCBA experience
  • Active Georgia Medicaid and CMO credentialing (Amerigroup, Peach State, CareSource), or willingness to credential
  • Experience with multiple ABA EMR platforms (CentralReach, Rethink, Catalyst, ABA Matrix)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) — additional compensation differential available
  • Training or specialization in Verbal Behavior, ESDM, PRT, ACT for behavior analysts, or trauma-informed practice
  • Familiarity with Georgia's autism insurance mandate (O.C.G.A. § 33-24-59.2) and CMO authorization processes
  • Prior experience with combined in-home and center-based service delivery models

Compensation & Benefits

  • Performance bonus: Quarterly bonus structure tied to clinical quality metrics, not raw billable hours
  • Paid indirect time: Treatment planning, parent training prep, supervision documentation, and team meetings are paid — not unpaid expectations
  • CEU support: Annual CEU stipend and paid time off for required continuing education
  • BACB recertification: Recertification fees reimbursed
  • Mileage reimbursement: IRS standard rate for all client-related travel between sites and home visits
  • Paid time off: Generous PTO, paid holidays, and sick leave (specifics shared in offer)
  • Professional development: Conference attendance support and clear pathway to clinical leadership roles as we grow
  • Health benefits: Available for full-time team members (details shared in offer stage)

Our Clinical Values

We are intentional about the kind of ABA we practice and the kind of practice we are building. The right BCBA for our team will share these commitments:

  • Assent-based and neurodiversity-affirming approaches as the standard of care, not the exception
  • Skill-building over compliance training — we teach, we don't control
  • Reasonable, sustainable caseloads that protect clinical quality and clinician wellbeing
  • Clinical autonomy within ethical, evidence-based practice — we trust our BCBAs to make sound decisions
  • Genuine respect for direct care staff (RBTs are the heart of our work)
  • Honest engagement with the field's history and ongoing evolution, including thoughtful response to the neurodiversity movement's critiques
